About Us
Safe Water Network India is leading a transformative shift in rural and semi-urban water management through its Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) initiative. Adopting a holistic, community-driven approach, the initiative addresses critical challenges of water access, quality, and sustainability in some of India’s most water-stressed regions. By integrating decentralized solutions, real-time monitoring, and traditional knowledge with modern practices, it revitalizes ecosystems, promotes water-efficient agriculture, and strengthens the interlinkages between water, livelihoods, and the environment. Central to this effort is the empowerment of communities—especially women—through capacity building, knowledge sharing, and participatory governance. Together, these interventions foster long-term water security, climate resilience, and equitable resource management.

Safe Water Network India is a not-for-profit Trust, registered on October 16, 2009, committed to bringing clean, affordable drinking water to the quality-affected habitations in India. We advance affordable models for water service delivery, prove their sustainability, share sector knowledge and work with others to take models to scale.
